Belstaff

FASHION · Man

Harry Grosberg founded the Belstaff company in 1924 in Victoria Place, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. Its first clothing line was raincoats for both men and women.

Grosberg chose as the logotype of the brand a phoenix taking flight as a symbol of continuity in time at both good and bad moments.

Belstaff was the first company in the world to use a breathable waterproof fabric obtained by using cotton treated with oils, giving rise to garments for motorcyclists.
